Healthcare Information For All (HIFA)

Health Information For All (HIFA) is a growing ‘network of networks’ including almost 5000 health professionals, librarians, publishers, policymakers and researchers from 1800 organisations in 157 countries worldwide. Their Our shared vision is a world where every person has access to the information and knowledge they need to protect their own health and the health of their fellow citizens. The HIFA 2015 is the flagship initiative of this global network.

The Healthcare Information For All by 2015 (HIFA2015) global initiative was launched in 2006. Their goal is for every person worldwide to have access to an informed healthcare provider by 2015. One of the many resources currently available to members includes: The HIFA2015 Knowledge Base, a tool for HIFA2015 members and others with a professional interest in how to improve the availability of relevant, reliable information for healthcare providers in low-income settings.
