Hospitals Must Attest To Meaningful Use By November 30

Nicole Freeman | EHR Intelligence | November 22, 2013

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) would like to remind hospitals that the deadline for attestation for the Medicare EHR Incentive Program is November 30. Those who do not attest by that time will not be able to receive a 2013 incentive.

Here is the full statement from CMS:

The last day that eligible hospitals and critical access hospitals (CAHs) can register and submit attestation in fiscal year (FY) 2013 for the Medicare EHR Incentive Program is November 30, 2013. Eligible hospitals and CAHs must successfully attest to demonstrating meaningful use by 11:59 p.m. ET on November 30 to receive a 2013 incentive payment.

Hospitals must attest to demonstrating meaningful use every year to receive an incentive and avoid a payment adjustment.
