Systems Need To Be Simplified To Maximise Anaesthetics Efficiency

The way data is handled by healthcare services needs to simplified in order to efficiently utilise new technologies. One way to do this is by introducing greater collaboration between software developers and users.

In an exclusive interview with the Information Daily, Dr Andrew Niall Kelly, Director of Coventry and Warwickshire Anaesthetic LLP, outlined some of his negative experiences of healthcare systems.

He explained, "In my line of work one of my main frustrations is in the medical notes… We estimate that around 20 per cent of the anaesthetic records, the paper records are lost".
