OpenEMR v.4.1.2 - Planned Release

OpenEMR is finalizing plans for the upcoming release of version 4.1.2 of their award winning electronic medical record (EMR) software solution by September 2013. Siaya District Hospital in Kenya Goes Live With OpenEMR

The Siaya District Hospital in Kenya has just implemented the 'open source' electronic medical record (EMR) system called OpenEMR with the help of Medigrail, a small privately held California-based health information technology (IT) company. According to a recent update posted on the OpenEMR wiki, an implementation team composed of Medigrail and Siaya District Hospital staff worked closely together on this project for over six months to ensure its success. Initial installation of the computer servers, network technology, and the OpenEMR software system began back in late 2011. The system finally went live in early April 2012.

U.S. Peace Corps Adopts OpenEMR for use in 77 Countries World-wide

The U.S. Peace Corps recently awarded a five-year contract to EnSoftek to implement OpenEMR in its field offices around the world. OpenEMR is one of the most widely implemented electronic medical record (EMR) systems in the world with more than 15,000 installs around the globe and translations into 19 languages. The total solution will also includes Dynamics CRM, SharePoint, BizTalk, SQL Server, and other software applications and will be known collectively as PCMEDICS. Read More »
