Luann Whittenburg, PhD, RN, FAAN, FHIMSS, FAMIA is a certified Enterprise Architect. She has a career working with enterprise programs and systems in large healthcare settings, including distributed medical centers and hospitals, to improve clinical data use and data value.
Dr. Whittenburg is a Fellow in the American Academy of Nursing (FAAN) for her outstanding contribution to the nursing profession; the Health Information and Management Systems Society (FHIMSS), a national health IT non-profit organization; and the American Medical Informatics Association (FAMIA) for her professional leadership contribution to the sustainment of informatics.
Dr. Whittenburg has published numerous presentations, articles, and textbook chapters on healthcare information standards, nursing terminology, and health information management. Dr. Whittenburg is trained and certified with the Medical Reserve Corp (MRC) and responded to the COVID-19 pandemic serving as a vaccinator with the Virginia Department of Health.
Dr. Whittenburg consults for J P Systems, Inc., as Business Architect and Project Lead, looking at integrated enterprise solutions to determine how health process flows and system data are exchanged between J P Systems’ clients and their partners to support clinical workflows and health information exchange.
