"Image Exchange is an integral component of our HIE, providing single click access to any X-ray, CT scan, MRI or ultrasound, right from the patients' record," shared Rob Hack, executive director of HealtheConnections. "eHealth Technologies provides valued and critical diagnostic image studies for our regional providers accessing patient consolidated health histories."
Common problems that burden both patients and providers, such as lost medical images and films, non-viewable CDs, and large file transfers are eliminated. eHealth Connect(R) Image Exchange utilizes existing user authentication and patient consent infrastructure to image-enable HIEs, so that all authorized clinicians can seamlessly access, view, and collaborate on their patients' diagnostic-quality images when and where they are needed, saving billions of healthcare dollars from being wasted on unnecessary repeated procedures.
"HealtheConnections and its participating provider communities of Central New York are leaders in HIE enabled patient care - delivering more effective and efficient healthcare for the 1.4 million people in the 11 counties the RHIO supports, "said Gary Larson, executive vice president at eHealth Technologies. "The collaboration of HealtheConnections and Mirth, with our team has produced a seamless transition for the more than 700 providers who rely on the RHIO's image exchange services to manage care for the 72 percent of the population who have consented access."
