HANDI Health Apps Conference 2015
HANDI Health Apps is the first national conference dedicated to health and care apps and lightweight digital tools to take place in the UK. Now in its third-year this event is a “must attend” for app developers, health and care professionals, managers and commissioners and others seeking to understand how digital tools can support the delivery of efficient, patient centred care.
HANDI Health Apps will take place in Birmingham, UK, Nov 3-4, in Hall 1 at the National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham. It is co-hosted as part of the EHI live 2015 conference. EHI live is the UK's leading exhibition for digital health, hospital information and healthcare innovation. The event attracts visitors and delegates from around the UK, European countries, and beyond who are keen to learn from industry leaders and examine new technologies. Unlike previous years, this year’s the HANDI Health Apps "conference stream" has been placed in the main hall, which we hope will make it more accessible to show visitors.
Speakers will cover the following themes:-
- Wearables – We want to cover how apps are developing to take advantage of wearable technologies across the whole range of well-being, health and care.
- Open Digital Ecosystems – We want to cover the emerging open ecosystems in UK health and care based on open standards, open interfaces and open data and how this makes it easier for app developers to build apps that interoperate and orchestrated to work with other parts of the digital ecosystem.
- App Accreditation – We will cover recent developments in app accreditation including the NHS National Information Board’s new Assessment Model for Apps. An update on the British Standard Institute work on standards for health apps and developments around the medical devices directive, and the requirements for CE marking of many health and care apps.
- App Case Studies – We want to feature a small number of app case studies, which are illustrative of the most innovative and interesting new developments in the health and care apps community.
