2019 DHIS2 Conference
The 2019 DHIS2 Annual Conference is an opportunity for the Community to meet and share experiences on DHIS2 implementations. The conference will bring together implementers, developers, ministry representatives, technical partners, and donors from around the world. Participants will learn from exciting DHIS2 innovations through 4 days of use cases, thematic presentations, and live demos from the developers. Through a mix of invited key speakers, community-driven presentations from the open call for abstracts, and social events, there will be ample opportunities to network with peers and experienced DHIS2 implementers.

37th VistA Community Meeting
The goal of VistA Community Meetings is for those involved in the VistA Community to network & collaborate, i.e., to share ideas and work, with the objective of moving VistA & the VistA community forward. Compared to most meetings, VistA Community Meetings are relatively unstructured. The agenda is always a "living" agenda, because attendees are free to change it – even during the meeting – in order to better meet their objectives.

2019 CSTE Annual Conference
The CSTE Annual Conference connects more than 1,700 public health epidemiologists from across the country and will include workshops, plenary sessions with leaders in the field of public health, oral breakout sessions, roundtable discussions, and poster presentations. Conference attendees meet and share their expertise in surveillance and epidemiology as well as best practices in a broad range of areas including informatics, infectious diseases, substance use, immunizations, environmental health, occupational health, chronic disease, injury control, and maternal and child health.

OSEHRA Innovation Webinar - SQL Access to VistA
SQL access to VistA for reporting and analytics requires two core technologies: (a) an SQL engine; and (b) mapping Fileman files to SQL tables that the SQL engine can use to access data. Although there are many SQL engines, there are few combinations of (a) and (b) that work well, and none that both work well and are free/open source software (FOSS). YottaDB is developing Octo, an SQL engine, and %VISTAOCTO, an adaptable tool, that generates an SQL Schema from Fileman tables. Both are FOSS.

Call for Code Hackathon - California Wildfires
Calling all Developers, Designers, and Domain Experts! In recognition of Wildfire Community Preparedness Day on May 4, 2019, IBM and 42 Silicon Valley are teaming up to host a one-day hackathon to help developers, engineers, designers, and emergency responders work on projects around Natural Disaster Preparedness and Relief during wildfires with a focus on community health and well-being. The hackathon will be held on the 42 Silicon Valley campus in Fremont, California.
