VistA Expo 2013: LIve Report
The VistA Expo & Symposium got underway today in Seattle, Washington. VistA Expo is an annual conference focused on the 'open source' or public domain VistA electronic healthcare record (EHR) system aimed at users, executives, vendors, developers, and students.
Some of the planned sessions at this year's VistA Expo & Symposium include:

- Making the VistA Decision by Claudine Beron

- A panel discussion on Issuing an RFP for VistA
- Achieving Scale and Reliability for VistA by Renee Cannon
- A panel discussion on Improving the Adoption Experience
- Diving into VistA: A CIO-Level Summary of the Technical Platform by Greg Kreis
- Unfinished Business: Design Goals of VistA That Have Yet to be Met—Discussion of a VistA Historical Archive by Tom Munnecke & George Timson
- A panel discussion on the Current Status of VISTA Imaging
- VistA Adoption—The Map! by Roger Maduro
- A panel discussion on the Future of Imaging in VistA
There are many other exciting and interesting sessions planned over the coming days. Roger Maduro, Editor-in-Chief at Open Health News (OHN), who is attending and presenting at VistA Expo, will be reporting on many of these sessions. VistA Expo runs all this week through Friday, October 25, 2013.
