PWC 2012 Report: Emerging mHealth Paths for Growth

In this recent report by Price Waterhouse Cooper (PWC) entitled "Emerging mHealth Paths for Growth", the current state and potential of mobile health (mHealth) in developed and emerging markets is examined, along with the ongoing barriers to its adoption and the implications for companies in the field. Expectations are high for the future of mHealth. Roughly one-half of patients surveyed for this report predict that mHealth will improve the convenience, cost and quality of their healthcare in the next three years. Meanwhile, six in ten doctors and payers believe that its widespread adoption in their countries is inevitable in the near future, but they also worry that mHealth may make patients too independent.
