The New Year is a time for reflection. At the pace the health IT world is moving, reflections must be followed quickly by actions. As the calendar turned over, Dynamic Health IT took a moment to look back on a successful 2015. It was a year that included ambitious upgrades to our products, a wide range of fulfilling client work, a website refresh and some exciting new directions for our company (expanding our involvement in FHIR and PQRS, to name a few). But we don't like to rest on our laurels for long. So we're also looking ahead to just a few of the things 2016 holds in store...

Blue Button 2.0 Developer Conference
The Blue Button 2.0 Developer Conference will bring together developers to learn and share insights on how we can leverage claims data to serve the Medicare population. CMS Administrator Seema Verma and other leaders will speak about Blue Button 2.0 and the MyHealthEData initiative. In addition, the meeting will feature lightning talks, demos, and breakout sessions.

FHIR on VistA Open Source Project.
This webinar will introduce OSEHRA's newest open source project group - “FHIR on VistA.” The purpose of the group is to develop and promote standards-based FHIR APIs on the VistA platform for high-value data sets, and align previously developed VistA APIs to the current FHIR standards to promote interoperability across platforms and systems. 37th VistA Community Meeting
The goal of VistA Community Meetings is for those involved in the VistA Community to network & collaborate, i.e., to share ideas and work, with the objective of moving VistA & the VistA community forward. Compared to most meetings, VistA Community Meetings are relatively unstructured. The agenda is always a "living" agenda, because attendees are free to change it – even during the meeting – in order to better meet their objectives.

OpenHIE 2019 Conference in Ethiopia
The OpenHIE community will hold its second annual community meeting November 4-8, 2019 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Between 200 and 300 individuals are expected to attend with the ultimate goal of development and efficient and effective operation of national and regional health information exchanges. OpenHIE, short for Open Health Information Exchange, is a global, mission-driven collective dedicated to improving the health of the underserved through open, collaborative development of implementation tools and to supporting country-driven, large-scale health information exchange. openEHR and FHIR – Fiends or Foes? - HIGHmed Symposium 2021
Ever since the COVID-19 pandemic, the need for interoperable and scalable data infrastructures within healthcare has become even more apparent. National and regional governments address these challenges by introducing open platforms, a novel paradigm to enable the data flow required to harness the full potential of big data in medicine. To underline the importance of open platforms, and to provide examples of novel implementations to political stakeholders and the health IT community, we dedicate our this year’s HiGHmed Symposium to openEHR and FHIR, the underlying eHealth standards of the data environment of tomorrow.
