Clinovo Introduces CDISC® Express
Clinovo introduces CDISC® Express at PharmaSUG 2011 annual conference, an elaborate and easy-to-use SAS-based mapping tool for CDISC SDTM conversion.

CDISC Express is a SAS tool that automatically converts clinical data into CDISC SDTM using Excel as a framework. It makes adhering to the CDISC standard easier and helps speed up time to market.
It was launched on the opening day of PharmaSUG 2011, the most attended SAS event of the pharmaceutical industry, where professionals exchange best practices and know-how. Clinovo’s CDISC experts will present CDISC Express in their session ‘An Excel framework to convert clinical data to CDISC SDTM’.
“CDISC Express is the result of many years of innovative thinking. It is the first open source CDISC conversion solution in the market place,” says Ale Gicqueau, President and CEO of Clinovo. “We have successfully used it for all of our CDISC projects over the past 3 years and have decided to give it freely to accelerate the expansion of the CDISC standard.”
CDISC Express was designed to facilitate and accelerate FDA submission and FDA review. It has already proven to speed up data submission while reducing implementation costs. “It took about three months to develop CDISC mappings in an alternate application,” said Stetson Line, previously Senior Manager of Clinical Programming at Genentech. “A Clinovo programmer was able to achieve similar results in under two weeks on average."
Leveraging SAS technology, CDISC Express can easily be integrated within the company's existing statistical programming infrastructure and utilize any pre-existing format standards. Users can see the source code, create their own mapping file and custom SAS macros. The software solution is delivered with user-friendly navigation tools and a dedicated support system.
