Healthcare Innovation: Back to the Basics……..But what are the Basics?

The individual dialogue on Healthcare and on Innovation in the marketplace today has accelerated to an incredibly frenzied pace. When the two subjects are considered together, the combination of both opportunity and of confusion can simply be staggering. There are literally industries and careers being created around developing these concepts because the range of debate is as broad as the ability to make a significant amount of money from the vast resources being thrown at these issues. This explosion of opinions, consultants, and possibilities is landing common terms associated with these issues, such as the word innovation itself, in dictionaries of jargon such as Thompson’s Overused Business Words and Phrases and the genius Weaselwords collection . . .

Now in the context of Healthcare Innovation, how can this principle be defined in basic fundamentals? I offer you these points to consider: Healthcare Innovation must deliver improvements in outcomes related to healthcare management. These outcomes can come in three main types, each by itself is important and the combination of the three is top priority.
