New open access journal - International Integrative Medicine

InTech's rich portfolio of journals has just been expanded by another valuable addition - the new open access journal International Integrative Medicine. The publication was launched this week by InTech's China branch. Its respectable mission is to become a unique hub where Chinese medicine meets contemporary Western medical methods to treat the same neurological disorders.

The new open access resource which will bring together the traditional and the modern, East and West, common practice and the alternatives was brought to being in strong collaboration with the Shuguang Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. The submissions will be examined by our expert Editors-in-Chief, Dingfang Cai MD, PhD (Fudan University, Shanghai, China, Chenchen Wang MD, MSc (Tufts University School of Medicine, MA, US), Weidong Pan MD, PhD (Shanghai University of TCM, Shanghai, China).

Dr Pan is a very active member of Chinese and Japanese neurological associations and an author of numerous scientific papers in this field. Details about the complete Editorial Board can be found here.

The scope of the journal will encompass a wide variety of topics in all areas of integrative medicine,Integrative complementary and alternative medicine (CAM); herbal medicine, acupuncture, Tai Chi, chiropractic, music therapy, Yoga therapy, Ayurveda, to name a few. International Integrative Medicine will be issued on a quarterly basis with a minimum of 20 scientific papers per issue. To celebrate the start of this new project, the first editorial committee meeting will be held at Shuguang hospital on 14 August.
