Libre Office and the Document Fundation in 2012

LibreOffice won the LinuxQuestions.org Office Suite of the Year 2011 and was chosen Best Office Suite 2012 by Linux Journal's Member Choice Awards. "In Brazil, LibreOffice has received the 'Technology For Citizens Award' from Guarulhos City."

...downloads numbered in 200,000 per week at the start of year but has grown to over 600,000 in December. Linux isn't figured into these numbers due to most getting LibreOffice from their distributions. Despite that over 14,000,000 downloads in all have been tallied for LibreOffice in 2012.
