Clinical Data Quality Issues and Clinical Quality Measure Reliability
Rich digital clinical data are a staple of modern learning health systems, but suffer from variable and often poor quality. Lack of assurance in data quality can lead to limited trust and utilization by stakeholders, including patients, providers, policy-makers, and researchers. In this webinar, Dr. Nicole Weiskopf will provide a conceptual overview of data quality as it relates to electronic health record data and the reuse of those data for various purposes.

Blockchain for Health Data and Its Potential Use in Health IT and Health Care Related Research
A national health IT infrastructure based on blockchain has far-reaching potential to promote the development of precision medicine, advance medical research and invite patients to be more accountable for their health. This OSEHRA Innovation Webinar will discuss a blockchain based access-control manager to health records that would advance the industry interoperability challenges and engage millions of individuals, health care providers, health care entities and medical researchers to share vast amounts of genetic, diet, lifestyle, environmental and health data with guaranteed security and privacy protection.

DXC Technology's Digital Health Platform
Patient health outcomes are sub-optimal when medical decisions are made based on incomplete, fragments and unstandardized data. DXC Technology has built a reference implementation of a digital health platform (DHP-RI) to address this situation. The DHP-RI aims to recreate the complexity and heterogeneity of a real-world health care organization’s ecosystem complete with multiple EMRs, patient data sources, devices, various common services, and a variety of systems of engagement (systems benefiting from an integrated and standardized data sets across multiple systems of record).

OSEHRA's Open API and Open Architecture (OA2) Workgroup Purpose, Goals and Scope
Operational Healthcare IT systems in clinical facilities large and small commonly leverage a mix of Open Source, Commercial and custom built components. As the industry moves from closed monolithic EHRs toward a new era of Open APIs to integrate new applications with legacy systems the effort and risk of integrating those components together will be greatly reduced, but to be fully effective system designers and integrators must have more than a set of independent APIs.

Open Source JDBC Access to VistA FileMan Data
Accessing VistA data using off the shelf tools has historically been hard or expensive to do. With the set of tools YottaDB is developing as an Open Source Project VistA data can be mapped to relational table views. In this presentation Christopher will demonstrate the tools available, where to find the code, how to get started with the application, and how to contribute to its development.

How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love My Robot Doctor
Remember doctor’s visits when you were growing up? The wooden tongue depressor. The well-worn stethoscope. That weird thing they jammed in your ears. And now, my children are having the same experience. But that is going to change. As design harnesses digital, materials, and networking technologies, a very new health experience is just over the horizon. Proactive, lifestyle design, tracking real-time health data, non-invasive tools and custom “just for you” treatments based on your actual genome, are here.
